Part 8: Serve Your Fruit, Serve Your Dream: Unlocking the Potential of Your Talent

Part 8: Serve Your Fruit, Serve Your Dream: Unlocking the Potential of Your Talent

Breath Cadence:

Inhale 5 Seconds, Exhale 5 Seconds

Remember:

As you read through these guided meditations, there will be breaks to go through your breath cadences. Use the chart as a reference to start once you are comfortable; perform the breath cadences with your eyes closed to promote the visualization of your dream coming true.

Ensure you are comfortable reading this meditation series to get the most out of it.

Enjoy.

In this chapter, we are going to talk about serving your fruit.

Lift your shoulders towards your ears, rolling them back, rotating them a couple more times to loosen up your spine, loosen up your neck, lift your head, and get into a comfortable position.

Then, we will focus on a five-breath cadence, the number of grace. We're going to inhale for five, exhale for five, and we're going to do this for five reps. So let's get started.

Now, when it comes to serving your fruit, your fruit is your talent or something you're good at.

Imagine that you are great at building things.

Serving your fruit would be to take the opportunity to create something wherever you can, whether it be a small table for a neighbor, a whole equipment shed for a neighbor, building a building at the end of the block, or building a few buildings.

Whatever you can do to serve your fruit to the world.

Now, in this technological age, serving your fruit may be the ability to code or develop apps, and most of the time, everybody wants to get paid for what they can serve.

Although that is something that everybody needs and should happen when serving your fruit, it's better to serve it for free sometimes.

If you don't serve it because you're waiting for payment, no one will get to see what you can do.

Now, in the last chapter, we talked about developing your fruit.

For a tree to develop fruit, it has to grow.

Branches have to spread out, and the seeds growing into the fruit come through the tree into the fruit off a branch.

That is part of the growing process.

Now, when you develop your fruit, that is the school you attended, the hours of studying you put in to develop your craft, and the certifications you gained.

Although the time you put in to develop that fruit deserves to be monetized, if you don't serve it, all that time you put in to develop it goes to waste, and the fruit rots.

Imagine a tree that grows inside a building, and the building has no windows, locked doors, and no access to it.

No matter how big that tree grows or how much fruit it bears, since it's locked away, no one will ever know about that tree, and eventually, the fruit will die.

Let's do three more breaths of 5 seconds in, 5 seconds out.

On that last breath, think about how you can serve your fruit.

Think about what your fruit would be suited for, and remember, your fruit is your talent.

You have spent your life developing it, and you cannot let your talent rot because you are so focused on getting paid for it.

Your talent will rot if you don't showcase it to the world, so you must always be able to serve your fruit anytime.

Now, the income will come from serving your fruit.

If you're great at building, you're great at coding, you're great at knitting, whatever you're good at doing, you will earn an income for it.

Even though it may not seem like it, maybe you're working a job that has nothing to do with your dream, or you haven't graduated from the school that will help you fulfill it.

You must understand that if you're not willing to serve that fruit you're developing, everything you're doing now will be in vain.

Let's do two more breaths.

BREATH #1

After that last exhale, I want you to focus on how you will be able to serve your fruit.

Think about what you could do today to serve your fruit.

What person needs your talent right now?

Even if you must do it for free, get into the habit of serving your fruit.

Get good at it.

If you can build, get in the habit of building.

The more you serve your fruit, the more it becomes an asset to the world, and even though you may think you're giving it away for free, the minute someone doesn't have access to it, it becomes the most valuable.

So even if you're working a job right now that may not be aligned with your dream, it may not be aligned with the fruit you developed; keep serving it.

Eventually, people will realize how important your fruit is to the world, and not only will they pay you for it, but they will pay you well.

The one thing that will happen when you get in the habit of serving something that benefits the world is that the world will clear a path for you to do only that one thing, so think about that as we take these last three breaths.

Today was all about serving your fruit, and the one ask I have of you before you go is to figure out how to serve your fruit to the world.

Because you never know what person you can nourish with the fruit you have to offer.

We always end each chapter with a breath of new beginnings: the eight-second in, eight-second out.

Shake out your shoulders, reset your mind.
